Kappa Kappa Kappa, Inc. Education Tri Kappa is a unique
philanthropic organization because it exists only within the boundaries of the state of
Indiana. Each Tri Kappa chapter
has special projects in its community for charity, culture, and education. Local
chapters also support statewide projects.
Scholarships totaling over $5 million have been given since 1913. Tri Kappa now
offers scholarships in the areas of academics, fine arts, music education,
and to non-traditional students (Key Scholarship). Requirements: TO BE ELIGIBLE, APPLICANTS MUST
1. Be enrolled full-time at an accredited
college offering a baccalaureate or graduate degree.
2. Be a sophomore, junior, senior or
graduate student at the time of application and be enrolled full-time during
the subsequent year. 3. Be a
citizen of the United States and resident of Indiana from within the
jurisdiction of the sponsoring chapter.
Additional requirements:
State Academic Scholarship - Strong academic
record, strong goal statement, work experience, volunteer service and
extracurricular activities.
Key Scholarship - have no
previous undergraduate degree, have interruption in education for at least 5
years, plan to enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours, strong goal
statement, work experience and volunteer service.
Fine Arts Scholarship - enrolled in area of
concentration - dance, drama, art or music - and focused upon either
performance or education.
Twanette Nutter Fleming Award - enrolled in a
fully accredited baccalaureate program (in area of music education) and
aspires to teach music in parochial, private or public
schools. Beryl Showers Holland
Fellowship - enrolled at Indiana University, senior at time of application,
excellent academic ability, leadership, financial need and continuing on in
graduate study. To apply,

Through donations to our Memorial Fund, Tri Kappa also
supports an emergency fund for
students-in-need at twenty-seven Indiana colleges and universities.
Please contact the Indiana college or
university for assistance if needed. Gifted and talented
programs at Purdue University, Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman, and the Indiana
Academy of Ball State University receive support from Tri Kappa.
A contribution for expenses is
made to the winning team of the state competition for "We the People" to attend
national competition at Washington, D.C. This program is designed to engage high
school students in a rigorous six-week study of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of
Rights. Each year local
chapters and state Tri Kappa give over $1.5 million to its endeavors of charity, culture
and education. Since 1901 Tri Kappa members have donated untold hours
and millions of dollars to projects in the state of Indiana. | ||
